Hi Anne . As you say its interesting to see both side of the wing at the same time not often seen . But with your side view we can see all of the markings with fine detail and natural colours. The COLIAS CROCEUS stands out from the orange Marigold flower . I like the OOF BG. well done TFS.

Bonsoir Anne,
C'est une année à Colias, comme cela a été dit sur ce site. Celui-ci est entrouvert, ce qui est plutôt rare. Excellents détails. Quant à ces fleurs (des tagettes?), elles ont au moins le mérite d'attirer les papillons, commes les Budleia. Bonne soirée,

Bonjour Anne,
Voici de chatoyantes couleurs encore estivales. Face aux oeillets d'Inde (ton jardin?) le Colias paraît presque pâle. Belle netteté sur les ailes et les yeux de l'insecte.

very beautiful butterfly. It comes out of the canvas excellently in beautiful soft colours of the yellowish hues. The petals of the flower too distictively attractive and very complementary to the overall shot.

Liebe Anne,
dass ein Postillion den Blick auf seine bunte Flügeloberseite in Ruhe preisgibt, ist schon etwas sehr seltenes. Mir noch nie geglückt, und Postillions in ausreichender Schärfe im Flug zu erhaschen erst recht nicht. Sehr gute Detailschärfe.
Die kraftvollen Tagetesblüten haben es geschafft, mit ihrem satten Orange den bunten Falter überraschend heftig zu übertönen, doch auch in ihrer ungewohnt zarten Blässe ist Crocea schön. Auch in Wien und Umgebung flogen viele ihrer Art den ganzen sonnigen September lang. Heute aber ist hier der erste wolkenverhangen kühle Tag seit Wochen, und alle Postillions, die den Zug nach Süden noch nicht genommen haben, ruhen klamm im trockenen Gras. Mit fest geschlossenen Flügeln.
