Hallo Pierre
Although captured from far, I like the sight of this woodpecker. The colours are vivid and most spectacular, and the eye is lively. I just love the patch of red on its head, that reminds me of the caps the Jews wear. It is a pity we could not see it a little more closer showing the detail on the feathers more closeby the eye. It is never the less a beautiful bird captured in its natural environment, doing what it like to do; searching for something to eat. Have a lovely weekend.

Hello Pierre, Good picture of this woodpecker. Nice colors. The details are not very clear, probably the bird is still very far away.
