You used the sun very much to your advantage. I am seeing more and more folks try this now..side and back lighting works well don't you think,. It give personality to the image...this is a great example of how well this works! And to Sir Nick, well chosen!

Gratulation - ich hatte diesen Winter noch kein Glück mit Rotkehlchen, sie sind soooo scheu, irgendwie merken sie immer, wenn ich mit der Kamera auf der Lauer liege.
Vor kurzem habe ich das Futterhäuschen nachgefüllt, da saß ein Rotkehlchen ganz nahe dabei und hat sich von mir gar nicht beeindrucken lassen - aber sobald die Kamera da ist, ist es weg ... sniff!

Hi Anne. Thank you so much for this dedication the Robin looks the same as the ones we have. I love the pose you have captured with its head looking up in the air. You have taken it with good detail and colours. i like the moss on the stone work. Well done TFS.

Hello Anne,

You have made a very fine photo with the littel Robin. You have had a very nice lighting and made very good use of it. I like the way light is falling from behind the bird. The colors of the plumage blends nicely with the grey of the stone arround.

Truly beautiful picture of high technical level.

The stone and moss are great backdrop for the bird, compensating for the hidden tail.

very lovely little robin. Cute and very pretty indeed, especially with the streak of light coming from behind.
Pleasant with lovely soft blurry background. The sharpness is well rendered even the mosses on the brick look pleasant too.

The Robins in your country seem to be as shy as the ones in mine, but you made a fine sharp capture in difficult lighting that you used well to give the robin a fine outline against the OOF watery BG.
A fine composition too.

splendida immagine di pettirosso in una delle sue classiche pose, eccellente POV con la luce radente e laterale-dietro che esalta una parte del piumaggio, le zampe e i ciuffi di muschio sul muretto, mi piace molto il taglio compositivo e l'inquadratura con la coda coperta dal tronco che conferisce il giusto "pathos" all'incontro con questi graziosi piccoli uccelli.

The Robin how paint. Very pretty frame. I suppose that little bird looks about for food, or came flying in visits. Pretty colours and sharpness.
