Finally the end of this short story.

The peace of this Mallard-couple was disturbed several times by the attack of a young and vigorous rival, who must have found Mrs Mallard very attractive. I witnessed three times his "Blitzattacks". Walking through the near-by meadow or coming by air, he attacked so quickly our lady that she couldn't escape. And Mr.Mallard tried to push him away. Finally it was such a confusion of feathers and bodies that I really could not recognize which one of the two males was the winner. I made several pictures, most of them being such a mess, I have chosen this "final" one, just because it's more lisible.
The couple seemed so affected by these repeated attacks that unfortunately they left the place..
The moral of the story... I leave it to every body

Hallo Anne!

Eigentlich brauche ich nichts mehr zu schreiben... Es musste ja kommen, was da kommen musste...

Ein schöner Abschluss für eine schöne Geschichte. Oder geht die etwa noch weiter?

As Grüessli

Markus

Ciao Anne, lovely family portrait, cute composition with fantastic couple in love, great end for this story, very well done, ciao Silvio

A stupendous action shot, Anne, and a really convincing end to the cliff-hanger suspense of your story.
Presumably, Mr Mallard is the one pushed off into the water unceremoniously and trying desperately to hang on. The one mounting the female must be the aggressive attacker. It really looks fierce.
The picture, despite considerable action taking place at the time of shooting, is very sharp and clear.
Well done and thanks for entertaining us through three episodes of this thrilling drama.
Or, as Markus said: geht die etwa noch weiter?
And if it does, I'm game!
Regards.
Ram

Hello again Anne,
Yes spring has arrived!
Despite the melé it is clear what is happening and which male is the winner though the female as often happens on these occasions, has to endure his sexual aggresion in order to be able to fulfil her purpose in life.
Nicely taken and presented.
Merci et bonne soirée,
Amitiés,
Ivan

Hi,
To be visible that ducks began already spring.
Movement at me in neighbourhood among birds is also.
Birds build nest, winter does not let go only yet.

Ciao Anne,
