Bonjour Anne,
A fine capture of a pait of mating P. rapae taken from an ideal POV with excellent sharpness. The lighting emphasises the contours of the wings well and I like the composition with the pastel shades greens and yellows.

prima di tutto complimenti per questa prima cattura 2009 (anch'io quest'anno ho fotografato queste farfalle la prima volta mentre erano in accoppiamento, ma in una immagine piuttosto disturbata), eccellente POV e ottima definizione, sai che apprezzo il tuo stile "personale" di colori piuttosto morbidi, in questo caso IMHO un po' troppo morbidi (nel mio video anche una leggera dominante grigio-verde, ma non sono un esperto in tal senso) per cui ho voluto fare un confronto elevando il contrasto: il risultato alla fine è solo questioni di gusti, le differenze infatti sono apprezzabili, ma non sostanziali.

Amazing subject. Inclined leaves with sweet butterflies on one of them are looked perfectly. Superb sharpness of the insects and pleasant blurriness of the BG create a wonderful combination. Framing of the scene and composition of the shot are spot on. Colours looks unusually but very attractive. Kind regards and best wishes.

Hi Anne. At first i onlt saw the one till i opened up the large picture. They blend in with the leaves so well. Your side view shows fine detial in the closed wings. Well done all with interesting notes too.

What a couple of soft green butterflies busy mating. Beautiful to look at and pleasing to the eye. The combination of colours in your presentation is pretty and matches well with each other.
