No doubt, the red seed-pods of dog rose are lending colour to the picture, Anne.
But then the subject of your picture -- a lone Sparrow -- is the focal point of attention by virtue of its clarity and sharpness. You have caught the female in a lovable posture.
A well presented image that looks beautiful in its totality.

Hausperlinge sind täglich zu sehen, wenn man im von nah betrachtet scheint sehr sympathisch zu sein. Gelungene Foto zeigt das kleinste Detail. Interessante Bg und die kleine Beeren passen hier hervorragend.

Al buen encuadre hay que añadir la limpieza del conjunto y la gran profundidad creada. También son destacables los contrastes creados por las pequeñas bayas y el fondo. Además, una imagen llena de ternura y serenidad .

Dear Anne,

Many thanks for your kind words on my posting of a Yellow Robin, its really appreciated. I have to admit I can’t remember if I've seen your work before it must be an age thing, the other day I got half way to work and realised I still had my slippers on!

This is a real beauty love the detail in the plumage, the look on the Sparrows face almost say "come on spring" your absolutely right about the red rose hips they do give a colourful touch, wonderful shot.

You have a stunning gallery to say the least; promise to be back for a second look a bit later, once again many thanks.
