You are right, the colours are really different in this species, and presented two "vertions" of them :)
Very interesting and unusual creatures, also because they are rather "strange" in shape as for Chrysomelidae :)

The colours of these mating Beetles are, indeed, very attractive, Anne. I like the metallic sheen of them.
It is a well thought of capture with brilliant focus on the limbs of the Beetles.

What a nice, perfectly detailed close-up of a very attractive scene. I like so much excellent direct POV and framing of the scene. Sharpness of the beetles and details of all their details are stunning as well as the pleasantness of the yellow-green surroundings and nice its blurriness. Bravo. Perfect work.

Bonjour Anne,
A very fine macro of a pair of P. sericea in copulo taken from a good laterl POV to show their features, including their fine iridesent colours, with excellent sharpness.
The composition with the Euphorbia flower is excellent and gives great contrast.
Though this species is quite common in Sweden we have no Swedish name for it either!

Ahhhh. Subtle suggestions will no longer work...as I am now 64 years old and my body is so not apt to bend in a position to take this image either way. I am delighted however that you were able to capture this...I have NEVER seen this outside of cattle here in the old west...strange..

Bonito trabajo Anne, donde captaste bien el dimorfismo sexual, básicamente en el color. Buen enfoque y bien conseguidos los detalles de la cabaza, nada fáciles de conseguir en este tipo de insectos.
