Mallard in the pond

This little pond is not so far away from my home and was the place where lived the mallard couple I have presented a few weeks ago.
They disappeared, but the second male has chosen to live there, even without female.
And seems to enjoy the place...
Yesterday was a rainy day and the duck was swimming a little bit from one end to the other.
Because of the covered sky there were some amazimg reflections on the water. Having only my 60mm macro-lens I tried to take a picture of this idyllic scene.

It is simply amazing. Your shot looks like painted by Great Master picture. Unbelievable beauty. Tremendous three-dimensional looking shot. Fantastic colours and transparency of the image. Hi Anne. You have done a godd job with the macro lens. As you say some very nice refections in the water. I like the different greens in the lush looking plants at the pond side. aA good shot of the lone male mallard duck. well done TFs.

A fine tranquil scene of a male Mallard on a little pond.
I like the composition with the various water plants on the edge and their reflections, as well as that of the Mallard, in the water. The sharpness and lighting are superb.

Hello Anne,
The unordinary hue of this green water works well with the bright green head of the mallard. I see you went fishing for bugs along the creek and all you caught was a DUCK.
