Yes, Painted Ladies have even come to Sweden: I have seen several specimens worn from the flight. This one however looks fresh and you have taken a fine capture showing the underside of the wings with excelent sharpness and lighting in a fine composition on the Aster flower.

Hi Anne. i was able to get a Painted Lady on Sunday but it was not this good. i like the delicate look to this with the fine side view. You have taken it with fine detail and pastle colours. well done tFS.

ce qu'il y a de superbe dans cette photo, c'est que et le papillon et les fleurs donnent toutes leurs couleurs. Souvent, on ne saisit que l'insecte, et la fleur est dans le flou!

meravigliosa immagine di Vanessa cardui, forse la Vanessa che mi piace di più e che quest'anno non si è fatta certo negare con una presenza che almeno in Italia supera le centinaia di milioni, la composizione semplicemente straordinaria per l'inclinazione scelta, eccellente la definizione, bellissimi e luminosi i colori.

tres beau pkoto sur cette splendide Vanessa cardui, souvent pas facile à photagraphier. La messe à feu excellente valorise la photo en mettant excellentement en relief le petit papillon avec ses couleurs et détails sur les fleurs de le nectar desquelles se nourrit. Intéressant même le jeu de lumières et d'ombres.
