The choice of Iris flower petal by this Weevil for a perch is impeccable, Anne.
And you have taken full advantage of this situation through this very fine macro.
The POV is so very apt it shows the features of this small insect in great clarity.
The colours in your pictures are the most natural I have ever seen.

Hello Anne,

This is simply an exceptional macro, I know some like this weevil are really tiny!. Show great skill in focus. The background is perfectly blurred. Magnificent combination with the petal. Much very well balanced and composed. I'd like to see something more of the parameters of the EXIF!

Impressionnante macro! Pas facile du tout. Les couleurs et la netteté sont vraiment exceptionnels. J'imagine un cadrage décentré... mais c'est juste une question de goût. Cette photo est vraiment une performance quand on connait la taille minuscule de cette bestiole... et le fait qu'elle bouge beaucoup! Amicalement,

Bonjour Anne,
This weavel appears to be related to the late Jimmy Durante with that humongous nose. A great shot you have captured with the greatest of detail. The weavel should have been a character in a movie such as in Star Wars with its comical appearance.

una super macro dai dettagli impressionanti, bellissimo il primo piano colorato del petalo sul quale sembra fluttuare con leggerezza questo strano e simpatico insetto, lo sfondo soffuso omogeneo e l'altro petalo sfocato creano un bell'effetto TD.

excellent sharpness. The weevil is very unique and weird to me. Very well presented and the purple petal is very complementary to the shot. the blurry bsckgrond make it so soft and attractive.
