Bonjour Anne,
This fine macro shows that you in Switzerland have a longer season than we in S. Sweden. We still have the odd Painted Lady but our butterfly season is over and we certainly don't have any blues left now.
Both these P. icarus are fresh-looking and sharply taken in copulo on the lavender flowers in fine lighting and with a pleasing neutral BG.

Wow, what a superb macro capture of the Common Blue(s)!

Wonderful clarity and a great POV, make this an eye-catching capture. The colors are perfectly shown and they are very natural. I like the textures on the wings of the butterflies. The blurry BG is simply nice. Great work!

una bellissima immagine di una bellissima specie anche se molto comune, hai risolto perfettamente il problema del vento rinunciando ad un po' di profondità di campo, che è l'unica scelta possibile, ma che hai utilizzato al meglio con la leggera sfumatura verso le punte delle ali; mi piace molto anche il punto di ripresa basso e la leggera inclinazione del fiore che si traducono in una composizione elengante e ben bilanciata, molto belli anche i colori che contraddistinguono il tuo stile.

Hi,
I see many images of mating pair of butterflies. Beautiful capture in good lighting. However the exposure on the butterfly (top one) bit washed away its colors may be because of the angle. Other wise cute image. Here one WS to improve the image, hope you don't mind. tfs.

I had a look at your gallery and i see i've missed quite a few nice posting being more gone than home lately...and this one stood out of the bunch :)
What a lovely macro of this common blue pair on a lavender flower! The association of the two "blues" is terrific here and has a very strong chromatic impact.
Further more, the natural light works very well here and brings out the best details especially i the butterflies. The sharpness is impeccable, the exposure spot on and the composition good (although i might have been tempted to cut a bit from the sides).
Anyway, a lovely post from you.
