[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Markus Peissard (Heaven) has already shown you some pictures od the Flysch formations and explained their genesis. I would like to dedicate this -for me unusual_ picture, to thank him very much to have shown Dieter (meyerd) and me this very special place, in the riverbed of the Aegera. It was quite an adventure to walk over tons of stones and wood which had covered the riverbed during the last big thunderstorms of August. Nature was present in a very powerful way, made us feel very small.
I have chosen this picture because of these amazing formations, which almost look like man-made constructions with wall and stairs. What was also striking for me was the beautiful colors of the stones.

Anne, I too shot some stones in my Himalayan region explicitly for Markus. How nice that you too did the same!
This formation of Flysch is truly interesting and you have chosen the segment with discretion.
The light and shade contrasts make these stones come alive.
TFS and regards.

Hi Anne,

Interesting geological formations of rocks- looks like hand made stairs or walls. Excellent frame, good shadow/light play. nice

cheers
Adrian

Hallo Anne!

Vielen Dank und as liebs Grüessli

Markus

At first glance I can only think of my Birkenstock's:-)I wear them everywhere including in snow in winter....don't ask..a long and unusual story....

But a good geological find..and now at least two TN'ers are aware. I do remember Markus picture of this almost sawtooth design.

NOW..Jane has come on the room. She had not heard the reword and we both sat here and learned of this on the net...wow! And the word Flysch was coined by a Swede (Bernhard Studer )!!! You must be proud! What a wonderful discovery for all of us...Thanks so much...OH! I have some fossil coral which comes from centeral Texas when it was an ocean:-)

Ciao Anne,
TFS.

Hello Anne,
excellent "Rock Art" you've capture. Nice example of light and shadow play in nature. Composition is too good with those diagonal cracks.
Thanks for sharing

Bonsoir Anne!

A very different picture from you! The stones look like they have been worked on indeed. Nice details. Great shot.

Liebe Anne,

Dieter
