This is lovely Markus. I think your photo captured you mood very well. Even the photo makes one feel reflective. I really like all the verticals with the angled shafts of light. Exposure is good with details even in the shadows.

A stunning picture and very touching notes. The diagonal rays of light meeting the vertical trees is magnificent. Your title is just perfect. It's nice seeing the blue sky with the white clouds through the relative darkness. Another masterpiece!

theres nothing quite like walking through the forest in the early morning. You have caught the forests magical atmosphere here perfectly.

Wow, excellent image capture the ray of light coming through between the trees. Very well managed on the light and different shade of darkness and light on the tree trunks, showing great depth. Good details on the foreground with falled leaves, beautiful and misty atmosphere full of nature's beauty. This should go to my favorite.

Wonderful landscape scene here and superbly captured mood of this particular moment in this nice forest.
I really liked how you expressed the atmosphere around you and your wife when you took this shot and i have to say you are right...nature has such a hidden power.
Technically, the shot is great, with a terrific natural contrast and lovely patterns everywhere (parallel straight lines in the upper part and mosaic leaves in the lower).
On top of everything, a gorgeous composition.

This is a wonderful capture of the play of light through the trees in what looks like a mixed forest of trees of different ages. This is not only a good thing for biological diversity but it allows a gifted photographer like you to utilise the varied thicknesses of the tree trunks and light to produce a superb shot like this with the carpet of autumn leaves as a fine touch.
Who needs to go to a church or cathedral when one finds oneself in such an environment? Thanks you for this excellent inspiration and insight into what you and your wife have experienced here.

You have captured this scene with great colours and the whole scenery gives the feeling of awakening. The details are just excellent and there is such a lot to appreciate in this image. This is actually a PPPP – Pretty, perfect picture photo. I just love the sunrays shining through the darkness of the trees, announcing the break of a new day. It actually looks like a painting and I very much appreciated this one. The leaf covered surface between the trees is in my opinion great and adds a special touch to this lovely image. Thanks for sharing.

This view is really touching, I think I can imagine what you could feel there. Probably you present the atmosphere just like it was there so one that looks at it can imagine that peace you felt.
What surprises me is that there are places like this around your home, as most of your pictures shows a different environment. It's nice to see more and more aspects of an area. TFS!

I believe this subject has often been compared to a cathedral and I've spent many times on my own in such a forest not feeling a bit lonely or afraid - it really brings you peace! Your capture is wonderful with the diagonal sunrays breaking through between the tall tree trunks. Beautiful details and colours and very well composed.

So beautiful perspective and attractive scene from a subforest. the contrast between the leaves on the ground and tree trunks, the sun shining through the branches is also great. I like the role that sun is playing in this image.

Das Licht in diesem Wald ist wirklich magisch und Du hast es mit diesem schönen Bild hervorragend eingefangen. Deine Gedanken kann man gut vollziehen, kommt doch das Licht wie aus einer anderen Welt.. Was die Komposition betrifft, frage ich mich, ob einige mm unten wegeschnitten werden könnten. Dies ist natürlich nur eine Suggestion. Ich habe wieder Schwindelanfälle und kann nicht sehr lange am PC bleiben. So, tauch ich nur so sporadisch mit meinen Kritiken auf.

Hi Markus.
I am nor sure it is easy to get so nice shot at dark key. Ratio between shadows and sun beams are refined as well as the exposure of all parts of the scene. I also am impressed with great details of the landscape. Dry leaves and even twigs on the BG are detailed very well. However, the main key is the soul of the shot. My warm greetings.

I have been behind this kind of shoot so many times...the last one the fog was so fast that only lasted for brief seconds.

Evocative and almost dreamlike...not often a photo creates such an impression. Expertly exposed and very good PP work, sun rays through trees can so often be a clche, but this manages to transcend that Markus, not easy to do..

I am quite familiar with forest views such as this one, Markus. However, what makes this image so striking is the sunlight filtering down to the floor of the forest through trees and turning visible in the morning fog. It is a heavenly sight.

I can't understand that I missed this one. Its such an inspiration one. I've been looking for such light conditions for such a long time that I am almost to the point that I will give up. Your photo and note changed that and I will continue on my quest.
Its peaceful and tranquil mood is grand. The clarity of the view is superb and the details are perfect. I just love the ray of light in the center of the photo. Your PP work is impressive, I know what you did, but can't see that you did it.
