Hi all!

Did you ever realize that winter is not just cold, wet and grey?

Did you ever realize how sensual snow can be?

This spring, I went to the Gastlosen - famous chalkstone climbing mountains - with a friend of mine who is preparing an exhibition about these mountains. We went their on our skis and the days before it was raining hard. In the early morning, when we started, the weather changed and it got cold. The rainwater had carved the snow surface and before the sun came it snowed for a short while, enough to powder the whole scenery with small "snowballs". On the slopes were a lot of lichens that the storm had brought from the trees.

All this made that the nature offered me such a beauty...

Kind regards

Markus

I did...I saw the image in thumbnail and immediately saw it as somewhat erotic. There was a movie...30 years ago...a art piece which showed such tings...gosh I will never find the name of it..too old..but this is an area which you are specifically talented...finding suitable images which reflect an adjective...or noun..,.,in this case erotic fits very well...

Hi Markus!
We didn't have too much snow in the past 5-6 years and I'm not sure if will in the future, but this year we are lucky about this, and if my children won't be so lucky to see it I'd like to show them what it was like. (I don't have one yet, so I know I'm planning a bit early about these things but I'm a long therm thinker :)
So I decided to try to bring out something interesting of snow by itself, because that's not so common to find shots about, only about snowy landscapes. Although I had two weeks altogether since to do this I haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I'll keep on trying of course, but I can be patient now as this is exactly what I would show to someone who hasn't seen snow. Again it is so real that it shows exactly what I'm trying to.
Thank you very much Markus, I promise if I found and captured my own vision in snow I'll show it too!

Best regards,
Andor

Merci!

Bonjour Marcus,

Bravo pour cette prise originale.
Merci.

I appreciate the special way you look at nature, Markus. The curves and lines are nice and the lichen as a focal point is effective. Your perfect exposure and sharpness reveal the texture so well.

Bonjour Markus,
Tu sors souvent des sentiers battus et nous entraînes dans une vision très personnelle de la nature. Cette image est si suggestive, le détail si bien vu que je vais m'abstenir de faire un long commentaire. Je te dis juste bravo.
Amitiés
Anne

Hello Marjus,

Eroticism has been one of the focal point in Hindu philosophies, not just as a means to achieve liberation from the self and the mundane to an higher plane, but also as a recognition of the erotic as an evident truth. Truth present. This picture symbolises everything natural and beautiful.

GREAT work,

Warm regards,
Kiran
Ps: Hope you never lose that eye for detail ever!
