Hello Markus,
really nice to hear from you and wonderful to be your neighbour. I was thinking will i be able to join your hiking when we are really neighbours?
Such a soft shot with lovely feeling being expressed.
great play of light and well depicted natural surrounding.
I know how beautiful Suisse is as I was there in Montreux, Lucerne and a few more places and it was really pleasant.
In my country the thinking would crop out will be a Princess with beautiful chaperons would be dancing and smiling at you. when you go near them they will disapper, it will make you long and wait for them each and everyday intoxicating with a neverending feeling.
so when it happens, I will not be posting shots ... instead i will sitting here in this lovely spot in Suisse all my life.

Every now and then we see a sight that we HAVE to take a photos of. And then I don't think I would notice a dozen of sexy girls dancing around me. . .
I like the lighting Markus and to see the type of trees you have growing over there. So, it's not all snow and mountains???

Cher Markus, c'est de toute beauté et je suis certaine, hé oui, qu'une douzaine de belles filles sexy auraient dansé pour toi, à ce moment précis, et que tu n'aurais vu que la magnifique lumière baignant tout ce vert ;-) c'est beau et l'état de grâce que tu décris transparaît et je reconnais ce que tu écris. I'll tell you easily: a nice hike in such a beautiful early fall mood and with such lovely views around would also put a big smile on my face, too :)
This is a gorgeous shot - simple and eloquent for the time of the year we are into now. The light falls gently on the trees and creates a splendid game of highlights and shadows, very well represented here in your shot. The atmosphere is tranquil and serene and i love everything about it.
Very well composed and precessed just enough to make the beautiful parts show even better.

Markos, I was busy this weekend, hence a belated reciprocation to your critique on my butterfly picture.
This phenomenon of light falling on earth like a spotlight happens on certain days and that too in a wooded area like the one in your picture. The shaft of light becomes visible; which over the centuries has served as a vital icon in many a religion in the world as representative of divine benediction.
You have captured the happening well, though there are quite a few pictures on TN posted earlier which present it somewhat more dramatically.

Sorry, I'm late for this beautiful capture of a glade in the woods where the elves are dancing in the mist around the little tree! Wonderful light and colours in this fine composition! If we didn't have imagination how dull life would be!

ich habe mich in letzter Zeit nicht mehr richtig in TN umgesehen (Umbau; Arbeit). Und siehe da, Markus hat zugeschlagen, und wie! Das ist nicht nur eine Gegenlichtsache, nein, hier streift die die Sonne die Bäume nur!

Sehr gut zum hervorragenden Bild passt Deine Erzählung, was mit Dir so passiert, wenn Du einen magischen Moment erwischst. Und es erinnert mich an die Zeit, wo ich mit meiner (verstorbenen) Mutter in St. Peterburg um die Wette photographierte und wo wir manchmal eine halbe Stunde auf einem Bänklein sitzend die richtige Wolkken- und Sonnenkombination erwarteten.

Hi Markus,
I looked at this photo before, but too quickly to see all details. At that time I thought that the shadow of the tree was actually the tree it self and that the base was not present in your composition. Now, looking closer at it I see that it is the shadow that confused me.
The soft low light created a gem of a photo. The mood is so peaceful and it makes me totally relaxed just looking at it. The single tree does make a wonderful strong subject.
