Ahhhh what a fresh breath of air it is too!...Amazing natural lines in the snow and foggy clouds. It is almost as if you are there alone...totally peaceful. Although I have never skied and will likely not....it is nice to know someone gets use of this wonderful landscape. Very nice...better than my wilderness.....wait...no maybe not...:-)

Juste avant d'aller au lit, j'ai encore jeté un coup d'oeil sur TN. Que vois-je? Un paysage à couper le souffle. Quelle beauté, quelle finesse, quelle lumière. Comme alternative au bureau, il n'y a pas mieux. Bravo!

YES!!! Now this is what i had in mind when somebody mentions Switzerland! One outstanding view!!!
I'm sure it was "a breath of fresh air" for you - both literary and figuratively :)

The sight from up here is amazing and to see those peaks covered in that lovely snow is great. However, i thing that the attention here is mostly drawn by the fantastic layer of low clouds that gives the entire view a fairy-tale feeling.
Also, i would like to mention two other elements here that add a great deal to the composition: the trees which create this very beautiful contrast and the perfect blue sky.
Overall: a breathtaking scene!

Hi Markus,
words fail me...almost! The one that springs to mind is 'Sublime'. You've taken an amazing sight and not only done is justice but added that certain something extra...what i would do to have a picnic here my friend! An awesom shot, well framed, excellent exposure on all that snow and the lighting in general is beautiful. Thanks for showing us this wonderful view so well.

You managed super depth of focus in this shot Markus and the exposure is perfect. I love the low cloud between the mountains. The sharp foreground really gives a lot of power to the image,

You know how much I liked your last posts but still I'm happy to see landscapes from you again! And such a beautiful one - and of course technically perfect - with an amazing pov and so much details! You can be very glad to live near such wonderful places! I'm also happy to hear you could get out of office again, I'm still either in office or preparing for Christmas so I have no time to go out in the snow...

Hi Markus,
This is still one of the things on my to do before I am too old list. I mean be on top of a mountain above the clouds and making photos of it. I just find it fascinating to see these mountian tops appear out of the cloud layer and not knowing what one can find below.
Now the photo. I remember you once wrote about the postcard skies. I am sure that you couldn't avoid them in this photo.
I like the clarity and the amazing view in this photo. The way you used the mountain slope to draw the eye is perfect and very well seen. The exposure control is very impressive.
A real beauty.

I always tell to my mom that living and working in BA is not what I would like to do the rest of my life, and I say to her that the perfect place to work is a mountain, planty of snow and nature!! just as you show!!!
Those clouds remembers the glaciation age in patagonia.
Great POV and DOF on this picture. Nice blue scale on the sky and lovely shape of the mountains.
