Hahaha, was tut dieser Kerl denn? Solche Verrenkungen! Da hast Du einen außergewöhnlichen Moment festhalten können.
Auch wußte ich gar nicht, das diese Tierchen Fühler haben - oder ist es der Schwanz? Die vielen Beine machen mich ganz konfus!

You mean 9 for 2009 :-) ? Very smart creature I must say :-) Rather rare guest on TN, but I think very interesting. And this is one of most arty shots of centiped for sure. Yellow BG and of course pose of animal are fantastic.

Hello Dietrich,
A fine capture of a Myriapod that I couldn't ID as I wouldn't know if it were a Geophilus, Strigamia or Scoliophanes. The configuration is nice, as Greg says, a 9 for 2009 and with at may I take the opportunity to wish you a healthy and happy 2009 with lots of finds and photographs from your back yard!

Tatsächlich, ich wusste dies nicht. Aber eigentlich überrascht es mich auch nicht, warum sollte uns ein Tausendfüssler nicht auch Liebes zum neuen Jahr wünschen können. Es kommt nur darauf an, wie wir hinhören!

Hello Dietrich,

A nice way to prepare for the new year with a little help from a centipede! That's something I haven't photographed before, guess I need to start looking at them, now that you've brought them to my attention. I don't have much luck with the technical keys of the sort that you use, I'm not fluent in the technical language used in them, so I'll have to see if I can find a field guide that is friendly to an amateur.

Anyway, thanks for sharing that image and have a Happy New Year.

Eine sehr originelle Art Deine Neujahrswünsche anzubringen. Den Neuner hast Du ja noch finden müssen! Der Tausendfüssler hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben mit all den Verrenkungen.
Auch ich möchte Dir einen gemütlichen Rutsch ins 2009 wünschen. Wie Du siehst,sind wir wieder in Bern.
