Hi Markus,

I haven't seen a Pussy Willow for years - since I moved to the desert. Along with the robin they were the sure signs that spring was coming. You captured their beauty so well with beautiful textures, natural colors and fine details. I love the horizontal composition.

Even though I'm a bit sorry there won't be any moe ice pictures fo this year, I'm happy to see the spring is coming (even though I didn't see much of it in my own country...)Your catkins are wonderful, they look like silver, and they also look so soft. I like your serie with ice art, but you're right - it's time to give a chance to Spring! Nice photo with catkins, well composed and detailed. These catkins are very important in Polish traditional Easter. Good to see that finally winter is gone.

Superb shot of macro close up and good sharpness by using bokeh effect on the BG to let the detail stands out more strongly. Very nice softness of these elements.

this one is an eye catcher straight from the thumbnail. The subject is so well isolated in very good contrast against the blurred background. Very sharp in details with pleasing light catching around the edges.

Excellent high lights and a well lit subject against a dark diffused BG is always a pleasure to watch Markus. This picture is simplistic in approach but gives a great impact. If you could have avoided that brighter area below while shooting , it would have been much better is what i feel. What do you think?

thanks for your visit to my cattail post. Always upon your view and critiques I have to adjust my eyes. I belief that my eeyes are the one which like to see exaggerated view and dramatic production of rich and dense colours. I did not do anything to my setting. It is my eyes that need certaind re-setting. : ) Thanks Markus.
The abstract of the above shot is obviously seen, the beauty lies in the arrangement and the superbs clarity of the buds. Yhe sharpness of the hairs go so deep into the skin.
Very excellent detail and great combination of the similar blurry background with the crystal streaks of reflection in the cold and fresh atmosphere.

El Salix en esta época es todo un espectáculo y muy generoso para los fotógrafos dada la multitud de insectos que a él acuden :-)

I have to agree with you about 'pussy willow'.
They are truly messengers of spring.
I used to collect them as a child so they bring back poignant memories.

You have done this twig proud.
The soft, furry, exploded buds are portrayed with the finest of details.
The narrow dof sets the subject against a simple oof b/g which is perfect.

I have missed this shot when was out of TN but now I am here with my opinion. Despite your ice (and even mud) composition are amazing new page is so art as previous ones. Refines reproduction all tiniest details of the twig and buds. Exposure, details, colours are amazing as well as POV and composition of the picture. I love Minolta lenses (especially in the hands as yours), however, I cannot submit level of Sony cameras noise. Though you cope with them also successfully as with creative tasks.
