MATTERHORN - SWITZERLAND
Image captured from Zermatt on my European Tour: AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND, FRANCE, NEDERLAND, GERMANY.

Matterhorn (Monte Cervino)4478 m altitudine, situat la graniţa dintre Italia şi Elveţia în Alpii Pennini, este unul dintre cele mai vestite şi mai deosebite masive muntoase din lume. Are forma unei piramide abrupte şi înclinate, al cărui perete estic este aproape vertical şi care se ridică la o altitudine de aproape 1000 de metri deasupra gheţarilor.


The Matterhorn (German) 4478m altitude, is perhaps the most familiar mountain in the European Alps. On the border between Switzerland and Italy, it towers over the Swiss village of Zermatt and the Italian village Breuil-Cervinia in the Val Tournanche. The mountain derives its Italian name from the Latin words "Cervus" and "-inus", meaning "place of Cervus", its German name from the German words Matte, meaning meadow, and Horn, which means peak.

bellissimo scatto su una delle mie montagne preferite. Per me che ho visitato le alpi svizzere vederle così ben ritratte regala sempre una forte emozione. Eccellente luce sul Cervino che spicca sul soggetto scuro in primo piano.
