Hello Anne,

Insect is shown in a very good close-up photo. Very good details of insect and flower can be seen due to the sharpness of the image. As the DOF was very well chosen head, torax and wings can be sharplyy seen.

das ist vermutlich die Blaue Breitbandschwebfliege Ischyrosyrphus glaucius.
Die habe ich noch nie in natura gesehen.

ich komme zu spät bei Deiner Gallerie vorbei, es gibt nichts mehr zu bestimmen, Peter hat es vorweggenommen. Mit seiner ID stimme ich überein. Ich freue mich, dass Du Dich auch der Fliegen annimmst. Diese hier ist besonders stimmungsvoll im Gegenlicht abgebildet, wundervoll. Den vielen Reflexen bist Du Meister geworden und alles Wesentliche ist schön scharf. Die dunklen Stellen könnte man nach meinem Geschmack mit Photoshop Elements etwas aufhellen. Mein Kompliment zum Bild!

I missed this superb macro of this Blue Hoverfly, the ID of which seems to be correct. There is so much I like about this image: the lighting, the POV,the dark neutral BG, the composition, the focusing and the sharpness.

ein sehr schönes Foto dieser ungewöhnlich gefärbten zart blauen Schwebfliege auf delikat kontrastierendem rotem Habichtskraut. Die leicht geneigte Annäherung ist höchst gekonnt, die Ebene der Schärfe ideal gewählt. Der Sonnenstrahl, der Blüte und Fliege aus dem weichen, mystischen Dunkel holt, verzaubert. Ein ganz besonderes, sehr malerisches Bild. Wunderschön!

Hi Anne,
a real beauty here with the rendition of light falling on its head. Very special composition. the glow due to reflected hard body gives a good shines with details in excellent view.
the dark orangy flower too render a good contrast.
what a shot well presented.
