[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the last summer 2008, I spent part of my holidays in Valais, Switzerland, and had the nice opportunity to meet Anne 'anel' in her chalet and the surrounding wonderful garden just amidst the impressive Swiss Alps.
I had the chance to take a number of pictures there, as this one which shows the butterfly

German: Violetter Waldbläuling

Species Information
C. semiargus is widely distributed in Europe, except the far north, and extends further eastwards through temperate Asia to Mongolia.
Forewing length: about 15 mm
Foodplant of the caterpillar: Trifolium, Melilotus, Anthyllis and Armeria.

Anne's 'Garden'
Swiss Alps, Valais (Wallis), Bürchen, about 1650m

Wonderful photo from Anna's garden in splendid colours. The clarity and contrasts are superb. Excellent sharpness and details and a very pleasant composition. Very good POV and DOF.

Lieber Peter,
Zurück von Bürchen, finde ich einen Schmetterling von oben. Allerdings fliegen sie im Moment noch nicht. Ein klassisches Bild,schön gestaltet und mit guter Bildschärfe. Was mir besonders gefällt ist der kupfrige Schein auf den Vorderflügeln. So etwas kann man nicht immer einfangen.
