Hello Anne,

What a lovely macro capture of the European Peacock! The sharpness and POV are perfect along with great use of comparatively shallow DOF. I like the position of the butterfly, spreading thorughout the picture, makes itself so real and lively. The light colored blurred BG enhances the beauty of the picture, by providing wonderful contrast to this dark reddish beauty.

what a great close-up for amazing beautiful Peacock, my favourite bfly. I remember a book author say:
if I person dosent excite (affect), when he see this beautiful species; he should give up butterfly photography and observation. The author mean that Peacock is the most beautiful among European butterflies. Unfortunately I cant capture it.
Well, you are lucky to see and to capture with a great macro shot. coloration wonderful. focus and POV/DOF also great.

Hi,
Beautiful butterfly, excellent colors and markings well captured, very showy. It bit close and with some more of that beautiful background this would have been much better. I liked the background color spread, its like a watercolor painting. tfs.
