Hi Anne. You have got such warm colours with this one. The detail is first class . along with sharp focusing . The light on the yellow flower has made it bright refecting up wards onto the Queen of Spain Fritillary butterfly. Both stand out from the darker BG.

Delightful picture from your archive, Anne.
Uncannily, your flowers and butterflies match each other to perfection in most of your shots on the theme of butterflies. Do you wait for the opportunity consciously?
This picture exemplifies my assertion to a great extent; the subject and the flower it is perched on match beautifully in this lovely picture. Yes, both sides of the butterfly's wings are clearly visible and captured with your usual eye for the detail.

Liebe Anne,
leuchtend sonniges, schwungvoll komponiertes, ideal in Schärfe gesetztes Portrait des Kleinen Perlmutterfalters. Das strahlende Gelb der Blüte spiegelt sich eindrucksvoll in den gleissenden Silberflecken der Flügelunterseiten. Diese schönen Falter flogen bis vor kurzem auch noch zahlreich auf den staubtrockenen Wiesen rund um Wien.
Das strahlend helle Szene vor tief dunklem Hintergrund bringt Dramatik und Schwung von Caravaggios Malerei in die beschauliche Stille einer Walliser Bergwiese im Spätsommer. Hoffe Du konntest in diesem freundlichen Ausklang des Sommers ebenso viel Sonne in Dich aufnehmen wie jener Falter.

Salut Anne,
Du bist ja die "Queen of Fritillaries", Anne. Hier hast Du Dich mit Licht direkt von oben auseinandergesetzt, was gute Effekte (Durchlicht, Auflicht, Licht und Schatten) brachte. Toll, die DOF und überhaupt die Schärfe des Bildes. Diesmal ist keine Farbschwäche Deines Apparates auszumachen.

PS: ich danke Dir für Deinen freundlichen Kommentar zu den Blattläusen. Diese konnten dank geschlossenem Fenster nicht ins Haus einziehen. Das Problem mit dem schwarzen Hintergrund trat auf, weil ich hinter dem Rosenbusch mit dem Blitz nichts anzuleuchten hatte. In späteren Versuchen behalf ich mir mit einem Brett, aber da waren die Tiere zum Teil schon weg: ein blutiger Amateur am Werk!

Es freut mich zu sehen, wie Du mit Deinen Bildern grossen Erfolg hast. gerade dieses bild verdient rein schon vom Fotografischen her die volle Aufmerksamkeit. Es besticht durch seine Farben und den ausgeprägten Kontrast. Die Tiefenschärfe ist ausgezeichnet und das Ganze wirkt sehr harmonisch.
