[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Une vue du lac Léman et d'une partie des Alpes Francaises, la photo a été prise par temps nuageux lors d'un tour organisé d'une journée entre Genève et Chillon. Une diapositive Kodachrome 64 que j'ai numérisé en utilisant un Minolta Dimage Scan Dual IV.

A view of Leman lake and of an area of the French Alps, the photo was taken under cloudy weather during a one day sightseeing tour between Geneva and Chillon. A Kodachrome 64 slide which was scanned using a Minolta Dimage Dual Scan IV.

Cher Pierre

Tu nous montres un endroit qui se situe à 30 min. de voiture de chez moi! Cela fait plaisir de voir un bout de ma patrie. Aussi je voudrais préciser qu'il ne s'agit pas des montagnes suisses sur ton image, mais des Alpes françaises, plus précisément des montagnes de la Haute Savoie.

Je me suis permis de faire un workshop pour enlever un peu les tons bleus à mon avis trop prononcés.

Ah yes this one worked mighty well for you Pierre! It almost looks like digital...that was a fine scan sir. Shows the grandeur of the mountains...

A lovely view of this large Swiss lake!
The alpes in the background still have some snow on the summits in April, and the silhouetted trees in front adds a feeling of depth...

Hello Pierre

This is a lovely shot of Leman lake.
The colours are very good.
Very good POV.
I like the way the clouds are hanging so low around the mountain top.
Nicely composed.
