| This little creature was in a small pond (not much more than a puddle), surrounded by what looked like thousands of gelatinous-looking eggs. It dove for cover whenever I got close, so I backed off and used a telephoto to get this shot. |

Hello Sandy
Firstly may I welcome you to Trek Nature.
Its a really friendly site and you will always find some really good advise here..Just ask and people will help..Thats what I have found.
As for your picture..I am going to say its a frog but Im not to good on my amphibians but there are plenty here who are..so take a frog as rough generalistaion!!
Photographically you have taken it very well indeed with its spawn (eggs..they will turn into tadpoles)..Very good focusing and good true colours.
Great Picture
Best regards
paul
How funny! I love the title - and by the way, welcome to treknature - it's one of the best places I've found to not only see animals and nature that I otherwise wouldn't get to see, but I learn so much here. I learn about different habitats, plus, most of the advice I'm given is on the money.
Back to your photo - I might've missed this one! I love the bubbles surrounding the subject, the lighting, and composition.
i like the POV and the alien like atmospheres created by the eggs and water tension.
Fine work Sandy! I like the how natural the colors are.
