Lamas are originally from South America. They are incredibly sensitive, attentive, cautious, and delicate, which makes them the perfect fit for physically or mentally disabled or sight impaired people, and for children with attention deficit disorders. Both children and adults will love these animals, which are related to Camels. It is possible to rent such therapeutic lamas for short excursions by the hour, for day excursions or excursions including an overnight in a tipi, and even for trekking lasting a week or longer.
Very famous in the mountain of beautiful Switzerland! After taking that cable car to reach the top of a mountain, was so excited to finally see this animal for real! Fascinating actually! Studied about it in books during school days but never seen it fir real so that day was exciting for me! Lamas finally :)
My best regards :) |

Hi Suzy,
Welcome to TN. Interesting note about the interaction of llamas with disabled people and ADD children. I enjoy learning new things on this site. Technically the shot is good, but in the future, you might want to avoid man-made structures which are not recommended for the Trek Nature site.
Hi Suzy,
Very interesting to see lamas in Switzerland. They're quite unique animals indeed. Nice shot, well composed and except for a little overexposure on a lama-leg, technically OK, and I don't feel the fence too disturbing here either. Tfs.
Best regards from Hungary, László
