Better known backyard denizens:
This is my last slide for a while, the 12 mm Striped shield bug, Graphosoma lineatum, Streifenwanze. The red glow in the background is from a rasberry. The animals sit on Aegopodium. My backyard is thus revealed to you as something of a wilderness.

The technique: monopod, my usual dual flash with diffusers. The picture was taken in JPG format and had to be worked in PS: background blurring; adding the tip of the upper right antenna, sharpenig.

See you again in October! Dietrich

Hola Dietrich,

What a lovely mating pair, Dietrich! You have truly done a great job of this macro, my friend.
Superb details and colours in this picture coupled with a razor sharp focus on the subjects.
Well done and thanks.

bonjour dietrich

Dietrich, Nice colors. You were right in using F27 for increased DOF.

Hallo Dieter,
Anne
