[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all!

I took this picture just before I arrived on the summit of the Märe (2087m) early in the morning, looking back the way I came up. I was pleased by the lines, shapes and light-effects in front of me and the peaceful spectacle of that wonderful nature.

This mountain is located in the Swiss prealps on the border between the Kantons Freiburg (Muscherenschlund) and Bern (Simmental).

regards
Markus

waooo, great photo! although I live in an island where mountains don't exist, I love it!!

Hi markus,
I like the abstract look of this photo a lot. The jagged line of the mountain ridge is really wonderful and makes the photo very interesting to look at. The fencing does make the ridge even more interesting. Good work on the exposure and details.

Excelente encuadre y disposición de la montaña del primer plano. Colores naturales. Bello conjunto.

Hi Markus-
Very nice composition, but it is attractive to me for other than pure nature. The key to the photograph is the fence, which is the only human element. Try a sort of Gedankexperiment- ask yourself whether the image would have the same impact if you removed all of that human element (and only that part). For me, the answer is a clear no. But it is a wonderful image because it captures an aspect of the way humans interact with nature in Switzerland- they are inextricably linked in ways that are distinctively Swiss.

Guten Tag
Bob

Great shot Markus!
Theoriginal composition gives a nice idea about the landscape and how one might navigate through it.
I find landscape way harder to capture nicely than (some) animals or plants.
This picture (and others) will hopefully teach me to get better at this.
Cheers
Claus

Hello Markus,
yes it is the graphic of lines, shadow and a few primary colours. These make the presentation so natural.
Wonderful feeling to be up there and yell to yourself....
wow I seize the day.
