thank you for posting this picture which nicely demonstrates the sexual dimorphism of this species. Focus is excellent. Particularly, I like the colourful reflections on the wings.

Bonjour Claude, excellent ce couple de diptères, effectivement le dimorphisme est sans confusion possible, j'ignorais cette différence au niveau de la tête. De belles couleurs irisées sur les ailes. Félicitations, Didier.

Lovely combination of the fine green and perfectly detailed BG and razor sharp images of so cute insects. The reproduction of the tiny details of the insect impresses the imagination. I am also amazed with extreme DOF (f-number) and superb flash use. Bravo and best regards.

c'est vraiment du très bon travail pour présenter ces mouches noires, pénible à mettre en lumière. Et tiu manie les reflets sur les ailes en plus, je ne sais pas comment tu as fait. C'est beau et intéressant.

Je respire un peu avant le début de mon exposition qui commence vendredi et me repose en parcourant les photos sur TN. J'ai été attiré par celle-ci parce qu'elle sort de l'ordinaire en mettant en scène des mouches. Et de quelle façon! Les détails et surtout les couleurs sont superbes!
