You are still the master of this genre...Someone else did one, not as this, but in your style..I think we might have to name this style after you in some way...fantastic...there are actually folks, like me and a couple of others who are play8ing with this patterns in nature with emotional elements!

Hello Markus,
Very well-composed picture. Great sharpness. I like the 3D effect. There is a twig on the left of the leaf, and I am not sure it would be so beautiful without it. Very nice colour.
Cheers,
Mariki
Hi Markus
I like this one the best out of all you abstract ice shots :)
You saw this leaf under the ice very well and you managed to take a very good photo of this interesting formation that it produces.
I know this is a leaf, but to me it also looks like a beautiful shell - you know the one with the wavy shape that can sometimes contain pearls :)
Anyway, the 3D shape and effect here are fantastic and very well rendered in your image.
I also like how you've managed to light and the focus too - spot on...exactly how i would have tried it.
The DOF is very good too and it reproduces everything in the frame with great details, while the natural colors are charming and enhance this slippery maze nicely.
Bravo and TFS
Horia
PS: ok....let's make a deal: you keep your winter there while i can have a nice early and warm spring here :))

I don't like it...
... I love it!
Once again you have proved yourself to have such an exceptional eye for a photo. Like Nick said, I would have walked by this without a second thought!
Wow what clarity and detail this photo has! We can see each trapped air bubble with superb sharpness.
Very good composition.
Perfect light.
Thanks very, very much for sharing this Markus!

Joe

Hello Markus
Another work of art!
Beauty can be found all around us if we just look, you are very good at doing this.
The iced leaves have an almost fossil like look.
The frozen in time feel is super.
Well seen and thought out.

Hi Markus,
as I always say you go for something new every time. This time you captured something very frozen (ok, evident), but still looking like a movement! It looks as if it was just falling into the water leaving weaves behind...
And the always touching presentation, TFS!
Best regards,
Andor

Hi Markus,
Your images of leaves in the ice are simply stunning. They look good compressed and reduced for TN, but the originals nicely printed, must be stunning. Perfect abstract, lovely colours and so well seen. You have made me long for a return to icy-cold mornings, which is really a mark of how good these images are.
