A great capture of the Mallow Skipper, a species I would love to see before I get too old. Even though this individual is rather worn, you caught it in a fine pose and from a POV that shows it up well against an OOF natural BG.

Good camera and sharp lens...very clear focus and natural colours. Depth of field is perfect...what more could a gal ask for? :-) super nice Anne. BTW I wonder at the image on your bio..it makes it appear as though you are at a counter of some sort..

Bonsoir Anne,
very good macro captured of the Mallow Skipper, great composition. The cold weather had made that species survive with his/her wool jacket. It's different with the warm weather butterflies, they can wear a colorful thin clothes, not a thick wool one, otherwise they will be sweating. Same with us. :))

Liebe Anne,
gerade soeben habe ich in Aufnahmen des letzten Sommers diesen so merkwürdig grau gemusterten Würfelfalter gefunden, unde jetzt finde ich ihn hier so treffend von Dir aus diesem Jahr präsentiert. Schöner Zufall! Dieser Falter kann im Hochsommer auf trockener Vegaetation fast völlig in Tarnung verschwinden.

Très belle macro, excellente couleurs et netteté, belle lumière naturelle, très beau sujet, l'image et cependant un peu bruité.
Voilà près de 4 semaines que les WE sont pourris impossible chez moi de faire de la macro, heureusement j'ai les archives...
