[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,

I will be leaving Switzerland tomorrow for India and would like to dedicate this picture to Anne Gattlen (Anel) whom I could not meet this time and who has been in constant touch with me in Switzerland. Sorry Anel, I leave with a promise that i will meet you personally when I come back early next year to Switzerland.

This is Jungfrau in a different perspective and I liked the cloud pattern and the sunlight here.

TFV,

Goutham R

Were you atop those high mountains, wow! Your picture is perfect, Goutham, sharp and bright with the angular light. The beauty of contrast between light and shadow the clarity and purity of the mountains are beautiful. Anne sure will be touched. Thank you!

Hello Goutham! Wonderful mountain. Amazing panorama. Beautiful lightness and colours. Good shot. Well done!

Another beauty of a shot of such grand mountains showing off the Nikon very well..Nikon i s spending thousands of dollars advertising their 90 model here in the states. First time I have seen them advertise on TV..perhaps they are onto some magic..and you show the camera off well.

Hello Goutham,
Thanks a lot for this beautiful picture of the Jungfrau and the kind dedication. It's amazing how some fresh fallen snow can bring out the very particular shapes of this mountain. In fact I never have seen the Jungfrau like on this picture.
I wish you a nice trip home and I'm looking forward to see you in Switzerland in 2009. I also feel sorry for what happened in your country.
Take care
Anne

I agree, the sunlight on this amazing peak is quite stunning. I love the clarity of this image. I suppose mountain air helped but your depth of focus is really good. Your exposure on the white snow is perfect. Very nice work!

sorry...out of green smilies. : ) : ) : )

Hello Goutham,

I like the good balance you are offering with this composition between the sky and the mountain. Great light bringing texture to the rocks. The white looks a little bit over-exposed but I'm not soo sure because my screen at work is not as good as mine at home. So maybe I'm completly wrong.

I like the frame format you took to represent this lanscape!

Great job and TFS!

Hi Goutham!

It's a shame I have not discovered this picture before! I can't spend enough time on TN, so this can happen. I'm so glad I have discovered it now thanks to your recent critique on my "Harmony". Well, this is also a very harmonious picture. I also like the duality in it: it's powerful and peaceful at the same time. Moreover, the colours and contrasts are superb!

Kind regards

Markus
