[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This snout beetle was perched in a funny way on these yellow flowers, which I suppose to be some HIPPOCREPIS species, eventually H.COMOSA.
I was surprised that there is no picture of this common plant in the archives of TN, at least I didn't find any.
Hippocrepis is a foodplant for many butterfly species.
I couldn't identify precisely the little weevil either.

Thanks a lot to Dieter Meyer (meyerd), who gave me the ID of the little weevil:
Mononychus punctumalbum (punctumalbum= white spot in Latin)
The white spot can be clearly seen on this picture.

Salut Anne,
Pierre

Hello Anne,
Superb focus on this tiny Weevil that looks really great on the pretty yellow flower. A lovely composition showing fine details and beautiful colours.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hy Anne
I like the yellow color from this picture: I know that not allways is easy to photograph yellow flowers. Well done
Regards, Oana

One wonders what it is doing....it looks out of place...not the image however which shows it as well as the flora very clearly. Very nice Anne..thanks much for sharing..

Ciao Anne,

Dieter
