Another common bird, impossible for me to catch in-flight, yet. Working on it ...

Falcons Common Kestrel Falco tinnunculus

The silhouette of a hovering Kestrel is a common sight. This hovering habit is the easiest way to identify a Kestrel since it is the only small British bird of prey which does so. Its long, pointed wings indicate that it is a falcon and not a hawk. The brown on the back is a warmer, redder tone than on any other small bird of prey and this usually contrasts well with the virtually black outer wing.

Breeds and winters in open woodland, parks, farmland, moorland and towns.

One of the commonest birds of prey in Europe, a familiar roadside sight in most countries

250 000-350 000 breeding pairs widespread across Europe: Spain, France, Britain and Germany support the largest populations.

Hello Gabi!
Very nice capture.I liked POV,lighting and visual impact a lot.TFS...:-)

I like the composition of this shot Gabi with the tangled branches etc. The warm light is also very pleasant. The image is soft though, It looks like you have over-used noise reduction software? Very nice capture, well done.

well Gabi,
the capture is nice, the pov on the bird is good. The composition can be done a lot better through cropping unther, and I think you can cropp a lot there and made the composition better. Farther good job.

What a beautiful scene. Gabi. The kestrel is one of my favorite birds. Good eye contact and pose. I like the warm light bathing it.
It is hard to tell on your picture, but do your kestrels have a lot of blue on them? Ours do. Great shot. TFS. : )

Hello Gabi. I like the composition and the pose as the bird looks back over its shoulder..Warm color, good detail. A bit soft as mentioned but overall a great post.
Thank you!

Hi Gabi,
Excellent composition and framing on this Kestrel. The light here is very soft giving a very warm color tone to the photo.A great pose makes the shot better.
