la couleuvre a collier est un serpent semi-aquatique qui vit principalement auprès de l'eau mais est capable de grand déplacement pour chercher un lieu pour pondre ce serpent a un système de défense particulier ci on essaye de l'attraper il fais le mort (catalepsie) mais est totallement inoffensif
sur la photo une grande femelle d'environ 120cm

Yves a lovely shot of a grass snake - natrix natrix - I think? They'll give you a nasty bite but are non venomous. All the same it must be a bit disconcerting to get in this close. Regards Phil.
