what a great in-flight shot of the the Black-headed Gull,
excellent luminosity of the image, lovely blue sky, excellent POV,
excellent sharpness & details, i see that you shot
at 1/4000 seconds, yesterday i did too a in flight shot
of a female Northern Cardinal and i was too at 1/4000 seconds
(it will be my next posting), TFS

I fallow your sea birds seri pleasurely. As I remember, this is second capture Larus ridibundus of yours. You supply perfect sharp details with 1/4000 and f/6.3. Filtre using, composition and POV wonderful. Blue BG contrasting white of the gull greatly. Congratulations on this result. Good notes always. TFS, well done my dear friend and neighbour.

You must have a great light with your settings, the light are
on return up here too but not that good yet.

Hello my friend

Excellent frozen in-flight scene. Clever handling of the light and well focused with plenty of details all over the gull. Looks like the Konica-Minolta is a great camera and with a skilled man behind the buttons it can not go wrong:-0). Only thing I miss is way out of your hands - just one tiny cloud in the sky to add a little dynamic feeling. Well you cannot have it all. anyway you did a great job - again.

He absolutely deserves to be in the exhibition! :)
This is a great shot again from you showing this nice gull's delicate flight!
I love the impeccable sharpness across the entire body and wings as well as the spot-on exposure here - which has retained very good details and textures in all teh bright areas.
The spot metering worked perfectly here and has also given you the gorgeous blue sky in the BG.
Because i want to learn to shoot in-flights like this with this lens, too, i would like to ask you which type of focus did you use here? Also, did you move the camera with the bird here (following the motion) or was it a stationary shot?
Anyway, splendid job once more, my dear friend!

A lovely pre-landing capture Alexei, showing this fine gull specimen from a low POV with perfect underwing detail against a pleasant azure-blue sky. The intent of landing on the face is obvious. A slight closure of the aperture (half a stop maybe) might prevent the overexp. in the wing base area.

The Gull has forgotten its black head somewhere else and just brought an ear spot along for the fashion show, but it will do as the rest is quite flashy enough for a standing ovation from the excited spectators. Splendid stuff my friend. What else can I say than WOW?

You have really nailed this one on the button. So much detail and beautiful brilliance. Amazing contrasts on the white plumage of the bird and needles to say masterful exposure control to manage the lighting on such a bright subject to the excellent result you have achieved. Of course the remarkable azure sky does wonders for the visual impact this photo has with the almost pure white bird standing out like a sore thumb against the beautiful blue heaven.
