The Marbled white is superbly sharp and contrasts beautifully against the Gaillardia flower. We must plant this flower in our garden as it seems to be excellent for attracting insects.

Outstanding shot again with such immaculate sharpness and lovely colours. These flowers do attract butterflies, must be full of nectar, anyway they look beautiful too. Hello Alexei,

This is really outstanding! In spite of being a macro, this picture has a huge DOF! I love the vibrance and the way the colors shine. It's also nice to see that the white in the butterfly isn't perfect white but a slightly buttery color tone! The picture is incredibly sharp without presenting strange contrast artifacts at the outlines. And this at ISO 400! Against the perfectly blurred background, everything stands out nicely! A really great picture with great PP! Thank you!

Beautifull picture. I don't know which part is more beautifull - butterfly or flower? Both are very sharp and detailed. Flowers are more colorfull, but insect has got beautifull patterns on its wings. Image is well composed, with good, sunny light and warm mood. I like it very much!

I like the composition of this one very much. Although you have done all the usual things right (DOF, sharp etc etc etc), I like the idea of the second flower slightly higher than the first and with the butterfly facing it. It gives me the idea that the butterfly will step or flutter up there next. That seems to let me add some story to your photo which I enjoy. Thanks!

There could be better period of time for watching your colourful and beautiful summer pictures! Almost all the time in it grey and cloudy in Lodz so watching them is more than pleasure!
But of course I like this photo not only because the weather is not nice!
Here are some additional points why I like it:
- sharpness - great!!! Both flower and butterfly is perfectly presented!
- DOF - simply fantastic! Using F14 was a very good idea
- contrast between insect and BG
