Hello Alexei,
A fine capture, up to your usual high macro standard, of the female nymph of a Great Green Bush-cricket (Tettigonia viridissima). The lighting is great and the composition on the aster flower makes it look like it is presented on plate!

Vaya toma Alexei !!! No dejas nunca de sorprenderme con tus tomas, todas diferentes y con mucho interés por un motivo u otro. En este caso, una instantánea cargada de realismo, con un ángulo de disparo bien estudiado que presenta al insecto en un plano casi perfecto para su observación . Lograda profundidad y colores de todo el conjunto muy atractivos. Una gran fotografía a mi entender.

This is an interesting and very pleasant post. The scene is beautiful with the outstanding colors of the flowers to the rich green of the insect... all perfectly exposed and in fine detail. I love the DOF, the blurred background, and especially the final composition. BRAVO!

You know this site encourages us to show our subjects as close and in as much detail as possible, but sometimes a wider crop speaks louder and I think that is definitely true with this photo.

I hope all is well Alexei and you continue to find joy in nature and photography.

Please forgive me if I have not been able to connect with your work on regular basis. You see, life's preoccupations deprive most of us from the joys of it -- like being able to work with your camera as much as possible and then taking a lot of time on TN, posting and admiring the work of other TNers.

What a lovely combination of colours of both the grasshopper and the flower. The pink of this flower is just magic, and bring out the detail of the hopper so much more. Although not big the black polka in the middle of the eye looks as if it is following you. The lime green of the hopper is just beautiful and what more can I say than: "I am actually green with jealousy".This is a beautifully framed and pleasantly presented image. Focus and sharpness is super. Thanks for sharing this superb image.

Great light, colours make this is real crispy shot...I can see the hopper's eye so clearly.The composition looks wonderful.
I wonder how much of the flower did the hopper polish off.I have seen them finishing up flower petals quite quickly....

I love the colour of the flower here.The hopper looks crisp and sharp and every detail wonderfully picked up.Very well done.
