Hi Alexei,
even if it's a common bird the picture is in high quality as usual. A well composed fine shot, it's very clear with good light and nice natural colours. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Fine DOF with the bird in focus and the BG in nice bokeh.

A fine portait of a Feral Dove (a tame rock dove that has become wild after several generations) looking at the photographer taken from a fine POV with excellent sharpness and DOF to make it stand out. A good use of your new zoom! The composition is perfect.

I have always been a fan of Pigeons be the Rock or Wood as although they are common they have a unique beauty and you cant dislike them for being successful.
This is a fine capture full of natural sharp detail..Perfect colours...Thats a nice sharp lense you have purchased.

A very good tele-capture from a low angle Alexei, a fine exposure and sharp focus led to a high definition image pleasantly demonstrating the metallic sheen of the pigeons plumage. TFS this fine image my friend.

Hi Alexei. As you say in your notes a common bird an always around but if you look at it we can see a the colours in the feathers around the neck. You have captured this one with good detail . A nice pose with the bird looking down on you. well done TFS.Interesting notes too.

Pigeons might be common but that doesn't mean they don't have a beauty of their own. A magnificent shot showing off his lovely face, wings, plummage and colors. I love the expression on his face - he seems to be hamming it up for the photographer. Beautiful colors, excellent details, and a fine composition.

I think these very beautiful birds are so often overlooked!
You have captured his details with a sharp focus that allows us to really appreciate them. You are right about his proud demeanour; he looks very 'snooty'!

This is a very nice close-up and another great demonstration of your excellent skill already with your new toys :) This exceptional zoom lens produced wonderful results here in your hands and gave you a superb view of this nice pigeon.
Technically, the shot is great, with good exposure and lovely colors, but most of all i love the shallow DOF.

A very neat capture of this Rock Pigeon. There is nothing common about your presentation of this common bird though. Excellent details and lovely colours make it pleasant on the eye. The composition is well proportioned and the BG is complimentary.
