Critiques [Translate]

Hi Roman,

I haven't seen much from you since a photo I critiqued weeks ago. Welcome back to TN. I am always happy to meet someone interested in landscape. I have only been active in TN since January so I am new here too. I suggest that you take some time to view a lot of the images posted here and read the critiques. There is lots to learn. Personally I have dozens and dozens of photos that I once thought were good and now I don't need to post them because I already know what's wrong with them. TN has a way of teaching self criticism and striving for excellence.

This photo illustrates some of the problems all of us have dealt with as beginning photographers. Be sure to check that the camera is hoizontal or else rotate the image a bit on the computer. There isn't much in this picture that is in focus. It may be camera shake or aperture setting or both. It could also do with a bit of computer contrast enhancement. The idea of the photo is good it just lacks a real focal point and some technical refinement.

Get familiar with a computer photo editing application so you can crop out unwanted parts of the image. Try to take pictures in even light. If that is not possible then you can deal with some of the contrasts on the computer in post processing. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress here on TrekNature. You will be surprised how quickly you learn and how supportive this group can be. Be sure to write lots of critiques yourself so that people get to know your name and start looking for your photos.
