this is some species of Xylaria. it would be great that mykologists can identify it more precisely, because in some features this fungus is not completely fit to X. polymorpha

Hi Igor,
This is a very nice presentation of what I think is Acrospermum compressum! But I'm no mycologist, just a fascinated layman. My first association was also Xylaria sp. since they certainly look alike. Hope you can continue your search for id-confirmation with the help of this suggestion. There is an illustration in this link: Acrospermum_compressum.I also have a good picture in my reference book that I could scan and send you by e-mail if you're interested (I cannot post it here on the site as you know). Thank you very much for sharing this valuable documentation!
With best greetings,
Goran

I Igor.
More id. possibilities for you to look at: Geoglossum family, you can make an image search and you will see that some species are very similar to this.
About the photo, I think you chose a difficult angle for the light which comes from the other side, and that is even more difficult with black subjects. As you can see most of the 3 specimens are total black with lack of details, while some of the photo is totally washed out in total white.
You also used a small aperture value to raise speed up into a decent 1/30, which caused the specimen at the right to be out of DOF (Depth Of Field).
If you like this kind of ground photos, I recomend you to use a minitripod, that will allow you to work with big aperture values, therefore use low speeds but get more DOF range.
Also spend time looking for the correct POV & light angle in order to avoid overexposure, if you activate the hystogram in your cam (I suppose you have that option) can be of help.
Hope you find my critic friendly and useful.
Regards, Felipe.
