Hi Alexei,
guaaauuuu!!! A frozen gulf! Superb this panorama, never occurs in my latitudes. We have now december 31 at 17:00 hs 38ºC, I want a bug filled with ice! ha, ha,ha. Very different new year from southern hemisphere, I can´t imagine a january with frost, ice and snow, surreal for me.

Hi Alex, A very good composition to show just how cold it gets in Ukraine, we can't imagine such coldness. Good scene with many seabirds who seem oblivious to the cold. TFS. Murray.

I love the various poses of the gulls in flight,the perspective is excellent.
The focus is sharp with wonderful details,
The ice formation makes a great landscape for this shot.The lighting is well done with very good exposure.
The colours are well saturated and very natural.
All those gulls make this a fun shot to look at.

These gulls look so gorgeous as they sway in the wind above the ice. Our past "New Years" have often looked like this, but the climate has changed here too! Lets hope that this year brings new hope for our civilisation!

The silver grey in this image lends a unique character to it, Alexei. This includes seagulls walzing around in their own individual postures. The light seems to illuminate the entire scene in a cosmic kind of glow. All in all, a picture that stands apart for its unique character I mentioned earlier.

Hello Alexei,
Interesting to see what the Black sea can look like by Odessa in the winter, even though this was taken almost a year ago. The image is nicely decorated by a flock of Black-headed Gulls in winter plumage. This is what our biggest freshwater lake, Lake Vänern, can look like in the winter.
Thanks for sharing this bright and well composed scene and hope that the brightness and activity depicted in this shot will symbolise a bright , active and happy 2008!

This year, in france, the lake next to my village was frozen deep enough so that people couldwalk on it. It was the first time in my life this happened. Now the ice has melted again, but your picture reminds me of my frozen lake. I also like all these gulls, each in a different position, they are very beautiful. Nice natural colors and perfect composition. Very well done !

It really looks pretty cold in this scene. It does have very nice clarity and good sharp detail.Our winters her have become milder over the past few years. We no longer get much snow or long cold spells. A very good winter scene.

Interesting note. Our climate has changed significantly. When I was a child we would get snow that laid for weeks now we rarely get snow in the south.

Excellent learner picture, much better than my learner pictures. Nice frozen action captured here.
