Hi Serge,

Nice job here, I think birds are you forte! This particular specimen is giving good eye contact has a wonderful plumage and is surrounded by his natural frame of pine.

I do think the the branch in the front of the owls face is a distraction. There also seems to be some strange focus points on various branches or is it via deliberate blurring?
This effect is odd in that the branch in front of the owl is blurred but the one next to it is sharp, or am I just me seeing into things too much?!

Hello Sergey,
This is a beautiful capture of this owl. I like this lightning and color a lot. It is unusual to see them with their eyes open. I photograph similar specie recently but with their eyes closed :) It is very difficult to have a clean POV with those birds are they are always hiding in conifers. I like this picture very much. Well done and TFS,
