I think this one is very special swan photo. I've seen many but yours has a distinct character that comes from the contrast created by the exposure, as well as the swan's pose and look. Composition and overall technique are first-rate. Very well done.

How nice of you...a splendid mother's day gift!
This is a magnificent capture and the title fits perfectly.
The pose of the swan here is just superb and everything technical about the shot is just as it should be i think.
The exposure and white balance are terrific, the sharpness everywhere (and therefore the DOF, too) is impeccable, the colors are lovely and the composition is charming.
Truely awsome work!
...the second shot...well it looks great and it definitely looks like the swan is very enthusiastic about whatever it is she is doing...but thre is still a mistery about what exactly it is :))))

An exquisite shot of this swan.I think when they bow their graceful heads like that it gives them a humble appearance that is ingenuous.When we all know that deep down lurks an aggressive bird waiting to come out.LOL.Excellent focus and sharp details.The lighting is well done,and there is wonderful detail in the plumage.Great shot.TFS

Hello Karan,
A shining white swan in bright sunlight is one of the more difficult subject, but the here the capture is skilfully mastered!
Beautiful composition, and the bird is captured with excellent details in the plumage!

I like so much the POV and the pose of the swan catched.
The whites on the wing's feathers are so pure and beautiful.
Very interesting the slight brown gradation on the head and neck's feathers.

I feel like I can almost touch its feather :) This is so sharp with excellent texture. Lighting is excellent and I love this game between light and shadow. This is so well composed with super exposure. A nice swan shot no doubt. Your picture in WS made me smile :) Thanks,

Hi Karen, you have taken a great shot of this swan. It can be difficult to achieve even exposure on all those white feathers but have a great range of tones on the feathers. The pose is classic with the curved neck and raised wings. Nice and sharp and wonderful POV.
