[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Back with yet another swan photo. Edited in Paint Shop Pro Photo XI - adjusted the color slightly, cropped and sharpened a little.

Although it can't be seen in this photo, some of the swans I've been photographing have pink feathers. Not over their whole body, mind you... a feather here or there or a splotch of pink in various locations. I'd thought it was some sort of color phase or perhaps a genetic trait common to a particular 'family'. Enlightenment, however, came in the form of a BBC news item. It seems the pink feathers are caused by a bacterial infection in/on the feathers, which causes them to lose their water repellency. Fortunately it can be addressed by washing the affected areas with anti bacterial dish washing detergent.

Hello,

It's easy to go close to the swans but it's not easy to take a good picture. you play well with the shades and the colors are not burnt, to sum up the photograph is very good. TFS.

Beautiful compostion.The sunlight falling on the body of the swan at the far end is really beautiful.And the raised and open feathers of the swan in the front looks interesting as well.
Nice color of the water cpatured too.
