[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another walk along The Thames, last month, on a bitter, biting day. By the time I took this photo my fingers were going numb. These Black-headed Gulls didn't seem to mind the cold at all as they waited for a free meal from passers by.

I'm not entirely happy with the composition, no matter how I cropped, it just didn't seem to suit. Perhaps the background is a bit busy as well. Any suggestions/comments/etc are welcome.

Hello Mish! Beautiful seascape. Wonderful sharp. Good shot. Well done!

Hi Mish,
I like very much the sequence of the gulls aligned and that rocks.
You've got clear and very good details on them, in despite of the cold there.
As for the background, I see you used a very open apperture, to get it out of focus, so in that respect there isn't any more things you could do.
Perhaps turning down and pointing up your camera to get the sky (or mountains) at the back...but it depends on the situation.
Besides that, I like the resulting composition made.

I think the crop is just fine. The Gulls on the rocks are wonderful. Fantastic details of the faces. It's nice that three of them were looking right at you.

Gulls look very sharp and well exposed. Nice catchlight in the eye of the center one. They look pretty and peaceful indeed...
About the crop: maybe leaving out the right side bird that's less sharp anyway could be worth a try. Probably this option needs some more space on top if there is on the original. TFS!

Wonderful picture of this cute trio. I like superb level of exposure, impressive wide DOF, excellent BG and brilliant composition. The gulls are reproduced perfectly. Their image is beautiful and pleasant to eyes. Bravo.
