Hi Nick,

Superb shot of the Pochard, nicely composed with a fine pose and a great POV, the detail is nice and sharp and the colours tones are beautiful and warm, the light on its head is superb. I like the way its keeping Necip's Pochard company.

Stunning!! Awesome colors and details. I like the look in the eye and what I love in this picture is the Mercury coated feel to the water and absolutely soft and wax like texture on the bird. Is there a special way to do that...if it's not a trade secret :)?

Hello Nick,
A superb capture of a male Red-crested Pochard taken from a fine POV with great sharpness and colours. Nicely composed too. I understand that this S. European species has become naturalised in the UK in the wild.
If I could get a shot of one that is as good as this when we go to Mallorca in a couple of weeks I would be very pleased.

Yesterday must have been wonderful! The more I see of this Pochard the more I love it. Gorgeous shot with marvelous colors and excellent details. I especially like the head with the sun shining on it and the expression on the face. The beak and eye are a delight.

Wow, what a beauty he is. Especially after looking at my recent post. Great clarity and sharpness. Love the color on his head, as if there is a spot light or he just came out of a beauty salon freshly dyed hair. Love his little expression kind of shy but very proud as the same time. Hola de nuevo Nicholas donde aprte del buen saber hacer del fotógrafo, supongo que esa lente y su estabilizador (IS) también participan. Una gran fidelidad en los colores y tonos como en tu siguiente fotografía de la ardilla. La luz es excelente y el enfoque en general es casi perfecto. Bien captado el ojo.
