Another butterfly. I had followed this one for several minutes before it was sitting long enough to take the picture. I cropped it a bit and framed it.

One Marbled White (Melanargia galathea) very well seen on what looks like a thistle flower. a fraction over sharpened, there is a clear hallo round the butterfly which is typical of over sharpening.
other wise very nice TFS

Lovely butterfly, good Dof and colours.
The photo is a bit too noisy, and the over sharp is very disturbing me.

terrific macro work!! good background and colours. Shame about the noise as pointed out, nevertheless an excellent effort.

Belle et intéressante composition macro-photographique pour ce superbe Demi deuil - Melanargia Galathea. Jolies couleurs, bon point de vue et bonne netteté.
Interesting & well done !

Very nice butterfly picture Liesbeth. Very clear and natural colours. I do not like the composition because it looks like the bf is moving out of the picture. Well, that of course is a very personal matter. Also I agree with Robert about the sharpening. I have a link about how to use Unsharp Mask on my intro-side.

Apart from that I like the capture, the colours and the well blurred background which sets the bf off very nice.
