[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been a fan of inflight captures for a long time and have been practicing them for a while now along with all other fields of photography.

The birds are Greenfinches (Carduelis chloris)

Overview

Its twittering and wheezing song, and flash of yellow and green as it flies, make this finch a truly colourful character. Nesting in a garden conifer, or feasting on black sunflower seeds, it is a popular garden visitor, able to take advantage of food in town and city gardens at a time when intensive agriculture has deprived it of many weed seeds in the countryside. Although quite sociable, they may squabble among themselves or with other birds at the bird table.
Where to see them

A common countryside bird found in woods and hedges, but mostly found close to man on farmland and in parks, town and village gardens and orchards. Only absent from upland areas without trees and bushes.

Hi Billy,

I assume the bird in flight is the male. Not enough for you to manage a wonderful shot of him but also of the lovely lady looking up at him adoringly (with her mouth full of seeds.) Perfect for Valentine's Day. Colors and details are wonderful. I love the background and composition.

I'd sure like to know how you learned to do this...or is it simply patience..VERY good...we had a Paul...Lawford who did this extremely well....Very nice image!
