This is the first Linnet I have seen and was glad to be able to get a reasonable capture.

Linnet (Carduelis cannabina)

A small, slim finch, widely distributed, and once very popular as a cage bird because of its melodious song. Males are attractively marked with crimson foreheads and breasts, females much browner. It can be flighty and has an undulating flight, usually twittering as it flies. Now it is declining, in common with many other birds which use farmland, and is a Red List species.

Hi Billy.
Simply wonderful scenery. I like it a lot. Inclined a bit twig with fresh leaves and very cute bird on it is looked amazingly against impressive a nicely blurred BG. Main subject is crisp sharp, lighting is soft and nice as well as vivid colours. Perfect work. My best wishes and compliments.

Hi Billy. i have never seen a Linnet in the wild so thanks for posting this one on TN. Its a beaautiful little bird , which you have talen with sharp focusing and fine detail. I like the pink to its head and chest. ithe bird looks good on the bramble against the oof BG. well done TFs.

from far and we can see with him his environement,

Linnet perched on the twig in soft light look out very nicely. Gently blurred BG distinguish bird in foreground.
